Disney On Ice

Celebrating 100 years of Disney!

And what a celebration is was! When I was four I truly believed I was Snow White, so it’s safe to say I was a little over excited to see Disney on Ice at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

After half an hour of taking pictures and the children collecting their goody bags, it was time for us to find our seats in the arena so the real magic could begin.

As we were just settling in the lights dimmed and Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy glided onto the stage to welcome the crowd. The show begins with Goofy and Donald wanting to make a film but having no idea on what to make it about, so Mickey and Minnie show them a series of ‘miniature films’ to give them some inspiration.

Disney princesses such as Snow White, Ariel, Mulan, Belle, Elsa and Anna, to name a few, were the first to glide out onto the ice with their princes to say hello to the crowd and perform. We were then taken on a journey to see different stories such as Finding Nemo, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Pinocchio, Mulan, Aladdin and Toy Story, where we met lots of our favourite characters, sung our favourite songs, and the children had a good time too!
